  • I am not familiar with promotions of Medical Officers, but isn't Major almost automatic? If I remember correct, an MD starts out as a Captain. As for as promotions, I don't think the president of the US reviews each and every promotion, so this cannot be blamed on either Bush or Obama.

  • Since Mr. Mohammad was Muslim, maybe the state of Virginia should have executed him in the manner used in many Muslim countries. A public beheading in the center of Richmond would be appropriate. After all, that's what they do to Americans.

  • Sometimes I wonder how these sleezebag attorneys can sleep at night. I know it was only a TV show, but a Public Defender got a murder suspect off on a minor technicality.

  • I have seen lots of comments about belief in the death penalty. One comment was that the governor of Virginia was personally opposed to the death penalty, but allowed the execution to proceed because it is the law in his state. Good for him, at least he puts the law before his personal beliefs.

  • A correction to your comment, he was not being sent to kill Muslims or any one else. He was a medical office, a doctor and a psychologist. His job was to council soldiers, not to kill them.
